Walgreens EasySaver

In my reading of frugal living blogs this week, I learned about the Walgreens EasySaver program.  They fliers are kept up next to the cash register in my store - I didn't notice initially, and had to ask..  My rebate form is in the mailbox, so that's half the battle.  I'm pretty excited, I hope it works as well as it seems.  I asked for my rebate in the form of a Walgreens gift card, so I'll get an extra 10% back.  I'm planning to use the card for the December EasySaver deals, if there are good ones, and keep re-investing my initial $12.  Here's a picture from my cameraphone of what I got:

2 one liter bottles of mouthwash, buy 1 get one free, $2.99
25.4 oz bottle, free after rebate ($6.99)
Playtex Sport 16 pk, free after rebate ($4.99)
Tampax Pearls, 18 pk, free with coupon ($4.29)

The coupon for the second box of tampons printed out when I bought the first box, so I marched back in and redeemed it for the second.

Total:

Would have been $23.36 after tax, actually paid 15.47, getting a rebate of (11.98*1.1=) 13.18 = $2.29 total expenses.
